Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Great authentic food, cheep and friendly. Yummy salsa with comfy booths. If you go in, try the takeout window. Thanks, we'll be back.

Not a bad place if you enjoy booths that look like a Pit Bull's playtoy - dirty floor - salsa bar that was realllllly unappealing (scary) .... Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and was all gristle and fat. If I was reviewing this place when they first opened, I'd given them 5 stars .... the food and service was authentic and incredible ... Not sure what the hell happened, but after this visit, I went home an took a shower.

If you're a gambling man you should try this place! It goes anywhere from 1-5 stars depending on the day. And it gets more stars in direct correlation to the amount of alcohol consumed! Open 24 hours a day!

Ah, Rolberto...what a love/hate relationship we've developed. Once I would've happily offered a 4 star review (I in fact have one on Google+ from a few years ago), but now...well... The carne asada is bland and chewy. The carnitas and adobada are greasy and gristly. The rolled tacos are good but, c'mon guys...how hard is it to get the cheese and guac on all the tacos in the order? The outside of the building is tired and sad, shingles falling from it's Joker-green roof. The inside of the building is worn and battered: the stuffing in the booth seats long ago lost the will to rebound. The kitchen seems clean, but the staff is indifferent at best, and always seems just a little impatient and annoyed. I've sadly watched and (even more sadly) experienced the decline in the food quality of this place over the last 3 years. Such a shame. I'd pass, now.

It was good when it first opened but it really went downhill. The last time I are there everyone in my group had sour beans, the food was cold, and disgusting. The seating area of the place is gross as well, the interior is outdated, torn seats, and car stereo speakers. I will never be back.

This is a bertos. Which is to say its a little hole in the wall burrito place that does delicious cheap food. They have a salsa bar :-) There decor is almost too good for a bertos tho. I think they used fish sticks in my fish burrito tho which was a little odd, but what do you want for a bertos 2000 miles from mexico

Some coworkers and I ordered take out from their Buhl location as we all work night and they're the only thing that's open late night. I added my order at fifteen minutes to close taking the risk something nasty might happen to my food. I was a quarter into my deep fried goodness until I looked down and found the dark hair you will see laid across the knife in my photo.By the time I found it it was half past close time and was so pissed. I was having a rough night and that damn burrito is what was getting my through my shift. If anyone knows how to upload this to their fb fan page, please let me know.

Came here around 11 and I was the only customer. Once you walk into the door there was a big menu on the wall, very convenient. Small parking lot outside though. Anyways, I was craving a breakfast burrito so I ordered 2 potato, bacon, egg, cheese breakfast burritos. One for me and my boyfriend. They were about $4.25 EACH, what a deal! I thought they were going to be regular sized burritos, but they were huge. We could only eat half of it. The next visit we ordered the sausage, potato, cheese breakfast burrito. Yummy. BEWARE of the condiments bar where they have "scoop it yourself salsa" I scooped some for myself, but they didn't look fresh and smelled funky, so i skipped that. The interior of the restaurant needs a major update. I feel so dirty eating in there. Holes in the booths and all. Hopefully the kitchen is not like that because I really like their breakfast burritos... =/

The steak in my carne asada burrito was the color of chicken. But tasted like mule would, if you were hungry enough to eat mule that is. I wont go back, too many other places in town that are better.

Being from LA I have eaten at a lot of different Mexican restaurants. This place is OK. .The guagamole doesn't seem like it's even made out of avocado. The salsa has no flavor. I have never been inside. I always use the drive thru and it doesn't matter who is working the drive thru, they all seem to be on auto pilot or something. No smile, no warm and fuzzy feeling. But it's okay. They serve the purpose for which I need them for. The menu isn't so great but the prices are low, it's open 24 hours they take credit/debit cards and has a drive thru. The breakfast burrito with egg, potato and sausage is normally what we order from there and we are always satisfied with that. We have had the taquitos and carne asada burrito. It was okay.

If you want Mexican food late at night this is your spot. It's a dive Mexican food joint with a fairly authentic menu. Food is cheap but I would only do drive through, outside looking in the dinning room area is a little run down looking. The food here has a taco truck vibe to it but its has been good late night eats on several occasions.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! stopped on my way home on Monday am around 8:00. Ordered 2 cali burritos and a kids 6 piece chicken nuggets at the drive thru. When I got to the window the guy was hard to understand and i thought he said 9 something. i gave him my credit card he came back with my receipt to sign and he had the total $19 something. i asked him how the hell it could be $ 19 if the burritos are $3-4 each and the 6 piece was $3 something? he tried to tell me something about the nuggets being more money and and I told him no way should they be around $10. He said sorry and went to the cash register and handed be a $1.50????? Still got ripped off about $7 but could not do much since he swiped my card already. Opened the chicken nuggets for my kids and they look like they sat on the counter for a few days. i could not feed them to my kids. So after getting ripped off we had to go by donuts. I will never go back!

This place is hit and miss. I only get one thing from Rolberto's: carne asada burrito with onions and cilantro. One a few occasions I bring it home and devour it because it's the best tasting thing I've ever had: excellent tender hot meat, cold, fresh cilantro and onions. Other nights, however, I have to spit out bits of hard, chewy ligaments that Rolberto forgot to throw away. Some nights I get guacamole when I specifically ask for NO guac. (evidently guac. is in all burritos by default). So on the whole Rolberto's is just average. I just wish I knew which nights were the "good" ones. I would put Rolberto's "good nights" up against any Mexican food restaurant in L.A.

Being from a big city I have had my share of Mexican fast food. When I first moved here a few years ago their food was desirable every once in a while but the last couple of years, they have really spiraled downhill. I have tried many items from their menu and no matter what you order 50% is chunks of fat! Also before their meat used to taste like it was grilled now it tastes like it is boiled. I went again last night and ordered a carne asada burrito and I kid you not, I filled the white paper bag that the burrito came in with big chunks of fat. If it wasn't so disgusting I have taken a picture. I would rather go to the taco wagon for my Mexican fix than eat there again.

I genuinely refer to this restaurant as Muerte's Mexican Food, they have car stereo speakers mounted in the ceiling and the last time I went there you had to reach your hand through a hole in the bathroom door to open it. The food is greasy and has gone down hill since it has opened. If you are daring go ahead and try it.

I was out late, and hadn't eaten dinner, so I stopped into Rolberto's. Even before I walked in the door I knew I had made a bad choice. A group of what seemed to be "regulars" walked in before me. I had my baby in my arms, but that didn't stop these people from slamming the door in my face. Once inside, These "regulars" started flirting with the server, the only one working the counter. After flirting for at least 5 minutes, she took their orders. I ordered my food, and waited for everyone else in the place to get their salsa, before getting mine. As I started getting my salsa, the server comes out from behind the counter to fill the cups. apparently I was in her way, because she stood right next to me with her hand on her hip staring at me as I continued to get salsa. So I stopped to let her slowely fill the cups, which, by the way, were not empty, and did not need to be filled at that exact moment. Finally, my food was ready, and I was happy to get the hell out of there. I will not be back. This is not my first bad experience at Rolberto's. I once went through the drive-through, using my credit card. A few days later I was checking my balance on line, when I saw that I had been charged more than I should have. I found the receipt and saw that I had been charged $3 more than the receipt said. I guess they decide whether they deserve a tip or not.

I've only ever had their breakfast burritos - but they are amazing! Just as good or better than the best homemade I've ever had. I don't live in the area, but whenever I'm in town, I always make sure to stop by.
